I love the inking you did in the background, the distressed edges, and the colors you used throughout the card. Using the Rock Candy Crackle Paint was a great idea! I love the way it looks. Beautiful card! TFS. Daria

Beautifully done. I love all the distress inking and distressed edges. Beautiful holiday card!

So so beautiful, Anna-Karin! Love everything about your fab card!

Beautiful card! Super idea to use the crackle and glossy accents. It really sparkles. I love your inky background, pp and the cute birds!

Using the birds to 'carry' the ornaments is such a great idea! I have several bird images and I've yet to use them (they just don't inspire my muse I guess). I love what you did with the bg paper too. TFS

Another pretty one. You lucky-ducky, you had that stamp set. I think that will have to go on my wish list.

Galleries: Stamping, Cardmaking

This card is for Holiday Thinking Inking week 1, card 3. I got the stamp set with the baubles as a RAK from Jennifer from the retake on the original Thinking Inking that took place recently on the Stampingboard. Love these baubles. The big bauble was stamped and clear embossed twice, and the centre of one was cut out and glued on to the other, after colouring. I coloured them with different blue shades of Distress Inks which were first dabbed on my craft sheet and misted with a bit of water. The small bauble and the centre on the big one was then covered in Rock Candy crackle paint. Love the ‘broken glass’ effect. The birds and the branch were stamped on the patterned paper and coloured with coloured pencils. I had never thought of using coloured pencils on patterned paper before. Then they were covered in Glossy Accents and I added a bit of glitter too. I inked the paper fairly heavily. TFL!!!

Supplies: Hero Arts stamps: Magic of Christmas, Decorative Bird III and IV, Merry Always; Distress inks: Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Vintage Photo; Ranger Rock Candy crackle paint; Golden Rod stickles; BG pp; Archival ink; Derwent pencils; twine; glitter.
