Here's my card for Holiday Thinking Inking 2, card 1 (block stamping). I loved this technique! Such a fun idea to use your acrylic block to stamp with. Makes me want acrylic blocks in more sizes. I inked up the block with Bundled Sage and Vintage Photo and misted it first with water and then a few mists with Perfect Pears mixed in water. I only wanted it to be a bit shimmery, that's why I used water first. Stamped on watercolour paper and blended a bit with my finger. Then I stamped a text stamp with Bundled Sage in the middle and snowflakes with Vintage Photo here and there.
I love birds and always look for branches to place them on. Yesterday I got the new tree Tim Holtz die and I realised that using just a part of it, you can make different branches for birds. How awesome! The branch was cut from grungepaper and painted with Vintage Photo crackle paint. Dimensional Pearls Espresso was rubbed into the cracks and gave it some shine. The bird was coloured with distress inks (Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo). TFL!!
