Love this card. You really showcase the magic of this technique !!

Oh this one is so beautiful too! Very interesting in detail.

Hi, Anna-Karin! What a beautiful, soft, delicate card! And a stunning layout, too! Love that you pulled colors straight from the photo for the layout. And that row of flowers is perfect! :-)

Oh Anna-Karin you shadows create fabulous dimension to your card! Fabulous work!!

Love the shadow stamping, pretty colors too, neat background

Lots of overstamping in this one! I love the way you stamped and embossed the background. The bird and flowers look great too. TFS. Daria

Galleries: Stamping, Cardmaking

Another sample card for my WSW11 challenge called Layers of Ink, using three different angles of the technique of overstamping/shadow stamping.

1.The background is a left over from the layout on the second page. It's a technique Ali Edwards showed on her blog a few months ago. The Classic Fabric Design stamp was stamped on kraft paper with cream acrylic paint. Then it was stamped again with Versamark, overlapping it a little, and embossed with clear UTEE. I didn't use a stamp positioner, since precision is not so important for this. It turned out looking very similar to my grandmother's wallpaper on the photo in the layout and even has a similar texture. Pretty cool.
2. The focal panel of the card was inked and stamped with Weathered Wood Distress Ink. The flower was stamped with chalk ink and then re-stamped with Weathered Wood, making sure I stamped it a bit to the side to create a shadow.
3. The bird was stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink and then restamped with the stamp partially covered in Brushed Cordoroy. Since I used a cling stamp, and needed precision, I used a stamp positioner. If you use a clear stamp this is not necessary. TFL!!

Supplies: Stamper's Anonymous Tim Holtz flower and bird stamp; Hero Arts Classic Fabric Design, Artistic Outpost background stamp; Tim Holtz Sizzix tag and label die cut; Distress Ink: Antique Linen, Weathered Wood, Brushed Corduroy; Versamagic Sand ink; lace trim; twine.
