This is a cute card! Love the way your flower turned out! The edging is neat and that velvet ribbon!!! So pretty!

Good job!

WOW! Your flower turned out beautifully. Great way to improvise, using the tulle.

OOps, forgot to say, thanks for playing!

I soooo wish I could see it! It's a big red X for me. boohooboohoo

Oh, and thanks for playing.

I love the ribbon. What a great color. And I really like how the tulle worked on the flower. Gorgeous card.

This card is for WSW12 Sparkle & Frost, Let’s Dance, Bowl Me Over and the Combo challenges. For the Bowl challenge I was inspired by the teal velvet ribbon, and used exactly the same colour on the flower, the base cardstock and the rhinestones. For the Let’s Dance challenge, I used a polka dot patterned paper (I stamped on it with a script stamp) and a circle sentiment.

Since Daria’s Sparkle & Frost challenge needed a used dryer sheet, something I have never seen in my life, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. First, I planned to use gauze instead, but I think it would have been too dense. Instead, I used tulle fabric, which doesn’t have quite the same texture as the dryer sheet, but was also not as dense as the gauze. Even if the result might be better with the dryer sheet, I really liked how my glittery flower turned out. I stamped the flower with Archival Jet Black ink and coloured it with Distress Markers (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw). I applied Scoretape on top of the flower and then sprinkled glitter on top, rubbing it into the tape. You can see the texture and sparkle better on the close-up photo.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Smokey Gray. I also made the card for this month’s Hero Arts challenge (thinking of you cards). TFL!!

Supplies: Hero Arts: Striped Flower CG255, 19th Century French Script AC015, Untitled Postmark AC001; Distress Markers: Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw; MME patterned paper; Versafine Smokey Gray; Stampendous glitter; scoretape; Panduro velvet ribbon; lace.
