Gorgeous card!
This is so beautiful! I like the more natural look that your chosen colors give this scene. Those trees look like I could reach out and feel the bark. Thank you for sharing so many tips. I liked seeing the close-ups on your blog too.

Stunning card. I would never have guessed that it was stamped!

Project - Winter Scene by Anna-Karin posted 12/10/12 at 10:01 AM Galleries: Stamping I had forgotten to post this here. Its my first scene for Craft a Scene's December challenge - winter scenes. I often make my snowy scenes blue, but here I used shades of teal and grey instead. The stamping was done with Archival Jet Black, except for the texture, which was stamped with Weather Wane ink. It's often a good idea to add some texture to snow areas, and not leave them totally white. The grass stamp also serves the purpose of creating a border between the hill and the sky. Before stamping the trees and the deer, wipe off the base of the trunk and the feet with a paper towel, so that it looks like they are standing in the snow. The scene was coloured with dye inks using a Colorbox Stylus tool, starting with the lightest colour and gradually building up darker colours (see this tutorial). I was being careful when colouring, to not overdo it, since I wanted this scene to have a light and airy feel to it. Snow and highlights were added with a white gel pen and white pigment ink was dry-brushed here and there on the scene to increase the snowy feeling and create shine. After stamping the foreground branches, I cleaned the stamp, and stamped it again with white pigment ink. I also stamped all over the scene with the white pigment ink, using a grass texture stamp, also in the sky. TFL!!
