Project - Storytellers: Milestones PL
Galleries: Project Life
Happy Saturday Peas!! I'm so happy to share a PL spread today, the main focus is a milestone. At first I was a bit stumped as to how I could make sure the focus of my spread was on the milestone, my daughters finally getting along and participating in the same activity. I debated using a lot of picture of that moment, but then decided to enlarge the picture to 8.5x11. I trimmed down a 12x12 page protector to make it fit, used my sewing machine to create pockets and this created a fun customized PL spread. This could easily be used for school pictures, birthday, dance recitals or sports team pictures. By enlarging the main picture you are ensuring that the focus of the spread is obvious. This was my first time trying this out and I will definitely use this method more often.
My colour palette was influences by the teals, yellows and pinks of the moodboard. I tried to bring a light airy feel to my spread, just like the moodboard.
To create the accent cards I used various cards and modified them to fit my layout. I used a wood veneer card and applied rub ons, just go slowly and hold your rub on firmly in place. I also used one of the monthly digital card which I embellished with sewing, flair, stamp and mist. I also used the Amy Tangerine stamp paired with white embossing powder to enhance the velum card.
I hope you like my take on incorporating a milestone event in a PL spread and making sure it is the main focus of the spread. I hope you'll give this a try. If you do, please leave a comment, I would love to see it! Happy scrapping Peas!!1
