***project for the 20 Days of Holiday Sharing event***
Every year my boys write a letter to Santa and every year before we mail it off I scan it into my computer. This year I wanted to make a mini album that would hold all their Santa letters in one place. I printed out the letters on cardstock to approximately 4“ x 5” so they would fit inside the Maya Road kraft envelopes.
For the cover I used Zutter chipboard covers and covered them with patterned paper and added some felt to the cover for a handmade feel. Then I decorated the cover with stickers using pop dots on the title for dimension.
For the inside cover of the mini album I added another piece of felt and used letter stickers saying “letters to Santa”. Then I cut some cardstock pages for the inside to hold the journaling cards so I could write the the dates etc. For the enevelopes I didn't want to punch through the envelope when I bound my album together so I added a strip of cardstock to the end of the envelope about 1“ in width. I decorated the pages and the envelopes with paper and stickers from Echo Park's ”Everybody Loves Christmas“ line.
Then once I was all finished I bound the project together with my Bind-It-All using 3/4” red Owires.
I have two boys so I ended up using two envelops but this can be easily adapted to how many children you have just by adding extra pages and envelopes and increasing the size of your Owires.
I know I will treasure this mini album as my boys grow older.
