When you mention hitting the top SS, I thought of a Tips from the Top Floor podcast about filters that I just listened to. He mentioned that he considers an NDGrad filter to be one of the essential ones. It basically just cuts down the amount getting into the lens (sort of like a circular polarizer does.) It would help in a situation like this.

I actually have one and never think to bring it with me because I don't need it very often.

These are beautiful and the concept is great.

I love your photos. Mom to M3 it is snowing in Texas(LOL), Well, just alittle for about a minute. <img border='0' src='/images/icons/grin.gif'>

I took pictures of the snow and of course a pretty fun subject…I always dream about this shot, this is the first time I took this, so I'm hoping that I'll refine the style and composition. Tech information—F/2.8, SS 4000, iso100, you have no idea how hard it was for me since the the snow is so white and the sky was bright that I have to max out the SS which I don't like since 4000 is the max you can go for SS, but oh well….
