Susan, I feel the same way! I love getting the CC here, it's so helpful. I have been able to incorporate most of the cc into my editing and I'm hopng the family will really like the shots I got. I'm glad you said they aren't things you'd notice right away.

Although I agree with all the cc given, most of those things are not things I would have noticed right away, so I feel like I really learned from taking the comments and going back to the photos to look. Thank you! I needed some of that!

I agree with what everyone has come up with but i wanted to add.maybe change the time of day of your shooting, a little so the subjects are not squenting so much........i would love to see their eyes.....

Good job and cute baby

whoa these are really great! Great looking family... I love what you captured. It looks like the beaches where I live. Are you in Texas?

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'm in doing my PPing now, so I'm trying to *fix* what I can. I appreciate the CC, keep it coming.

Shanna - I agree! I think everyone is qualified to leave CC, based on their opinion and what looks good or not so good to them.

First of all..what's with all these people saying they aren't qualified to give CC lately? Everyone has an opinion about something...you don't have to be qualified for that. *steps off of her soapbox*...LOL

Okay, I agree with the previous cc. I'd also like to add...with #1, I would have tried to get the sun flare underneath of their chins instead...that way you could still see their faces fully.

Some of the shots are too straight on with the sun. Next time try to angle yourself so that the sun isn't shining directly into your lens. Unless you want to get a sunflare affect, that is.

Because the sun is right in front of you, you can't see any blue sky. I really like to see blue sky and blue water in beach shots.

The horizon lines are off in #1.

The top of the man's head is cropped off in #2.
Overall, beautiful location, composition and conversation with these. Just a few little tweaks will make them awesome! Good job!

So I was asked to do some pictures for a friend of a friend, my first shoot with people I didn't know. Here are a couple of shots from the shoot on Friday evening. I would really like some honest feedback on these. They were taken around 6:30 pm, and I'm not really happy with lots of the shots because of the shadows. I'm going to play around and see if I can lighten them up in PSE.
