awesome color combo! I LOVE what you did with the stitching and the buttons - so clever!!!
Love how you've used the stitching on this - very creative (both the digital and the touchable)! <img border='0' src='/graphics/mbicons/smilies_v2/wink.gif'>

Journaling: My mother taught me how to sew when I was a kid. I can remember all of the wonderful times that we spent going to fabric stores together. She is the one with the talent for envisioning how something will turn out from just looking at the fabrics. I picked up a bit of that but where I became most helpful was in being able to look at a piece of fabric and find colormatched thread and notions. Mom would pick out the fabric and I would then go get her thread and notions to match or coordinate.
Thanks to Stella's interest in sewing, I have gotten back into sewing. Without even knowing how I used to help my mom, she will ask me for help in putting different fabrics together for projects. This project was definitely more colorful than my usual but I like how it turned out and hope my friend Jennifer's daughter, Isabel will enjoy twirling around in it.
