This is just wonderful!

This is so so cute, Jamie. I love the colors and all the little envelopes but I think my favorite part is all the different fonts on the page that has see/hear/taste/touch smell. And the rainbow banner opposite. You did such a great job.

Cool album!

wow. amazing! love the door knob on the front and the Lucille Ball costume! :)

Wow Jamie, this is awesome. Great topic for a minialbum and the photos are wonderful. Love all the fun details. TFS!

Cool album, Jamie!

Hi Peas! I made a mini album celebrating my favorite season - Fall! I'm sharing this in a video for our 14 Days of Tricks & Treats series if you'd like to hear what I did for distressing the album and choosing the products(see the series here [twopeasinabucket.com] - this is Day 4).

Some techniques used:

  • The album consists of a 7Gypsies album cover set, kraft paper I cut and ran through my printer, Crate Paper patterned paper and Tim Holtz Cordinations paper. I used a Cropodile to punch holes through the thick covers and bound the mini with Canvas Corp twine. Having it bound tightly with twine makes it easier to look at as opposed to rings. My favorite part of the album is the Graphic 45 Door Knocker. I just pierced holes and mounted it with the provided brads - easy!

  • I sanded and inked the Coredinations paper after running it through a Tim Holtz embossing folder, outlining the ornate shapes with a marker.

  • I also did some doodling with a white gel pen onto the Canvas Corp chalk stock.

  • I also misted oranges and yellows onto canvas and made leaves for my trees and a moon in the sky.

  • I reinforced the photo inserts with silver washi tape. Love the metallic element mixed in, and the tape is SO fun and addicting to use. I still have quite a bit on my roll left! Will be adding other collections to my collection too…

  • Basic Grey chipboard sets come with so much - I used maybe 1/4 of the set in this whole book (Unfortunately, the Curio set I used is no longer in the store - but definitely check out their other sets!). I also had fun using attachment pieces like Graphic 45 hinges, Canvas Corp clothespins and Maya Road pins.

I think I'll display this album on an easel with my fall decor every year - I love the idea of a mini album as part of home decor!

Thanks for looking!
