As a new mama and a new homeowner, I wasn't quite on the ball enough to create a photo card for Christmas. I couldn't resist sharing photos of my sweet baby girl with my friends and family though, so I created a Valentines photo card instead!

I love the perfect family portraits I see used for photo cards, but I didn't have a traditional photo like this in my photo library. I went instead for a “theme” and pooled together photos that displayed a lot of affection since Valentines day (and new babies!) is all about mush and gush. :) I created the collage using Picasa, and then dropped the photo on a 4x8 canvas in Photoshop.

I added a few digital elements to the side like the lace paper, journaling strips and a paper heart. I mixed two fonts that we have here in the store that I've linked below. I decided to take advantage of my “tardiness” in sending a photo card and use some humor by crossing out Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. (I was inspired by Erica Hernandez's photo card here [twopeasinabucket.com]).
