This is wonderful , your layout and the story. What a treasure to have from them and how wonderful for your dh to make it for you.
You've melted my heart with that story! What a wonderful thing your DH did!! Love your beautiful style with clear colors and subtle blending. Just a great page!
Fantastic 2-pager, Karen! What a sweet book!
Well, I think you kicked that fear of the multi-photo layout right in the bum! This is amazing, Karen. The colors, the photos, the subject matter - it's a gem. And I'm so honored that two of my challenges helped you get this on a page.
Project - He Scrapped Before Me

For the pub ad challenge and the journaling challenge. Another page I've been wanting to do for a long time and the Journaling Challenge (take the day off) inspired me to get this done.

The book is “A Mother's Day Story.” If you can't read the pages, it is pretty funny. Once there was a little boy. His name was Justin. Just was sad because he wanted to find the best mommy in the world. So Justin went outside to find Sarah, his little sister. Justin asked Sarah “Sarah where is the best mommy in the whole wide world?” Sarah replied “Well, I don't know.” Sarah and Justin looked and looked. But they could not find her. They were both very sad. Finally, the two children decided to go into their cosy little house. They opened the door and went inside. Guess what they saw? THE BEST MOMMY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

My added journaling: I came across this book in my stash the other day and it just about melted my heart. Bill and the kids made it in 1991. (Smart guy even put the date on the front.) He found the photographs, wrote the story, had the kids draw and color, and then bound it into a beautiful hand made book. Could it be any more adorable or special to me? Not a chance. It is one of my most prized possessions.
