I started by cutting out a stencil like image with my cricut using the cindy loo cartridge. I placed the stencil onto my white cardstock and used masking tape to hold down the edges of the stencil. I used distress inks in spiced marmalade, broken china and mowed grass to go over my stencil. To make sure it was dry before taking the stencil off, I heat set it with a heat gun for a couple minutes.
For my focal image (hero arts artist's butterfly) I stamped it onto white cardstock with archival ink in black and blended the same distress inks that I used on my background onto the image. I cut it out and added some liquid pearls and scribbles fabric paint to little accents on the butterfly.
Once the butterfly was dry, I adhered everything to a turqoise 4x4 cardbase. For my sentiment(Inkadinkado) I stamped with the same archival ink onto paper that I had covered with the spiced marmalade ink.
