This was our first (and only, so far) trip to Hawaii. A dream come true. I still can't get over how beautiful it was. All the pictures were taken on the big island, on a black sand beach.

I used a 12x12 photo (gotta love Costco) as the base for the right side of the layout. To echo the black sand beach, I used handmade paper on the left and added white and silver ink to the texture lines. Torn vellum strips and fibers create a border to tie the two pages together. "Hawaii" was cut from vellum on Cricut (Opposites Attract cart). I used design studio to create the "Tropical Paradise" title. Again, I cut it from vellum on the Cricut. Then I had a lot of fun coloring it with alcohol inks. I love the batik look they created! TFL.
