Project - War Through the Eyes of a Child

This is a gorgeous layout and I am sure the documentation is great, also. Both of my parents served in the armed forces in England during World War II and I need to make some pages of the pictures that my mom passed down to me. I hope I am able to make mine as wonderful as yours!

What an absolute treasure. We need to remember the good with the bad and remind us never to take anything for granted. You did a beautiful job of documenting this.

This layout is a long-overdue recounting of my mom's harrowing experiences when the Germans invaded her village in France during WWII. She was nine years old at the time, and she never recounts the story without breaking down. I had often asked her to write it down, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. So I finally called her one day in May to get the full details of the story for this layout. The story is so long that I typed it on four large tags, then distressed them to match the layout. (My mom is the smallest child in the photo. It was taken in 1935, as we could find no pictures of her around 1940.)
