Missed your premiere, Ann, but... I really like this. I also thank you for the way you share so much in your comments--you da bomb!
I love everything about this card. The colors and design are wonderful. Thank you for explaining how you made this card; you used so many different techniques. Perfection. TFS. Daria

I really like this analogous color scheme: green, yellow, and orange. It makes me think of summer or a nice tropical island vacation somewhere with fruity drinks! :-)

I was inspired by a recent class I took that was sponsored by Archiver's and Hero Arts, where I learned the technique of applying inks to glossy paper using a brayer. This was my first attempt on my own. That is how I got the glossy paper underneath the acetate to blend from a green to a yellow to a melon color.

I was also inspired by Jennifer McGuire's instructions on using colored pencils and Gamsol (or any brand of odorless mineral spirits) on her website.

The stamp was done in Staz-on ink on acetate and also on white cardstock. I colored some of the pieces of the stamp using colored pencil and odorless mineral spirits (one brand is Gamsol). Then, I cut them out and attached them with 2 different heights of pop dots. Most of them are thin pop dots (1/16“) but the ”travel“ stamp showing the Golden Gate Bridge is on thicker pop dots (standard height), making it the tallest.

You can see a photo of me using the odorless mineral spirits to blend the colored pencils at <a href=”http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1356453 [twopeasinabucket.com]">http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1356453</a [twopeasinabucket.com]>.
