So pretty, Anne!

Posies look fantastic in the muted color! Wonderful ATC Anne!

petite posies has never looked so good! love it!

Wonderful ATC Anne! Love the background and the pretty flower. The Stickles add a really nice touch and the red and white twine is just perfect here. TFS! As I have said before, you are so very good at making ATCs.

Love the background - so peaceful and the posie is beautiful. Also really liked how you combined two colors on your letters. Love the Stickles

Hi, Daria! Thank you! Sometimes I think it takes longer to describe how to make something than it takes to actually make it! ;-)

Galleries: Stamping, Cardmaking

Created for Laura O'Donnell's WSW11 Summer Brights Challenge [twopeasinabucket.com]. Made using Technique Tuesday's Petite Posies stamp set, which Laura was kind enough to send me as the winner of her WF11 Just Add Glitter Challenge [twopeasinabucket.com]. Thanks, Laura!

Background is 140# watercolor paper over a pool Bo Bunny double dot cardstock base. To make this artist trading card (ATC), I first applied Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord Distress Inks to the watercolor base using Tsukineko Sponge Daubers (Hero Arts MI002) over a Ranger non-stick craft sheet.

Next, I added 2nd and 3rd generation stamps of Hero Arts H5261 Flourish Trio along both vertical sides using Weathered Wood Distress Ink. (It is hard to see the 3rd generation one on the left in the photo.) Then I misted it with water and dried the water droplets using my Ranger Heat It craft tool. I find I get better looking splotchies if I dry them right away with a heat tool.

Next I stamped the sentiment and flower from Technique Tuesday's Petite Posies stamp set using a Tsukineko VersaMagic Dew Drop (pigment ink) in Purple Hydrangea, then I set it aside to dry.

Once the pigment ink was dry, I colored in the ribbon edge of the posie and the sentiment using an aqua Prismacolor colored pencil. I added some shading to the posie with a purple colored pencil, and a shadow with a gray colored pencil.

Then I edged the watercolor paper panel with a silver paint pen. Then I added Jillibean Soup baker's twine in red, and adhered the watercolor panel to the ATC base. To finish, I added details to the flower center using Ranger Stickles glitter glue in turquoise.

Thanks for looking! :-)
