So pretty. I love the effect you created for the background for the focal image. And as always, your description is fabulous.
love the lace
What a beautiful card. That reindeer and his background are so lovely. Thank you so much for including all of your details. I must get some distress stain. Love the lace on the card as well. Thank you for sharing

Galleries: Stamping, Cardmaking
Inspired by Two Peas' Stamping A to Z Event for the N is for… Notions, R is for… Ranger, and S is for… Spellbinders (Part 1) challenges.
The focal image is made from a #6 manila shipping tag. I placed my Ranger non-stick craft sheet on my work surface. Then I applied Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Picket Fence, Worn Lipstick, and Dusty Concord Distress Stains directly to the craft sheet. I dipped a manila shipping tag face down in the Distress Stains, wiggled it, turned it right side up, and immediately dried it with my Ranger Heat It craft tool (heat gun). Then I dipped a second manila shipping tag in the leftover Distress Stain, wiggled it, turned it right side up, and immediately dried it with my heat tool. The background for my focal image is from that second generation tag.
Next I misted the tag with water droplets using a mini-mister. I immediately dried the water using my heat tool. It gives me better water splotchy effects if I dry the water right away.
Then I stamped the reindeer from Hero Arts CL469 Swirl Christmas using Tsukineko VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed it with Zing Copper Glitter embossing powder. Next I die cut and dry embossed the focal piece using Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Small Rectangles. I die cut and dry embossed a matte from textured cardstock using Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Small Rectangles.
The sentiment is also from Hero Arts CL469 Swirl Christmas. I stamped it using VersaMark watermark ink onto kraft cardstock and heat embossed it with Zing Copper Glitter embossing powder. I trimmed it, added ribbon and lace (notions), and adhered it to a cream card base.
I attached the focal image and matte using foam squares for dimension. Then I added a Hero Arts CH130 Citron Gemstone for the reindeer's eye, and added detail to the antlers using Ranger Stickles glitter glue in copper.
Thanks for looking! :-)
