Very cool! Love the owl and all the texture. Thanks for all the pictures. We sometimes hear an owl outside our bedroom window. We've had a great horned owl high up in a pine tree in our back yard. Let me tell you, they are big! And those eyes! You captured them, just perfect!

He is a mighty handsome fellow. And as always, you did an amazing job.

Anne, you did a very beautiful job with this. You are ubber talented.

Anne, this is such a wonderful piece. I feel like I could reach out and touch that owl; he's so real and dimensional. The eyes are incredible. Wonderful light and shadows. Thank you for sharing him here.

Very cool, Anne! I see a 'horned owl' silhouette in your BG. I'm sure you planned it that way.

Although you did not employ stamps, your wonderful piece is a definite inspiration to me to try something along these lines with stamps included...

I love what you do & share--especially since you do lots of visuals & text!

Thank you for sharing and I can't wait to go read on your blog how you did this. I love it, my sister's favorite bird/animal is the owl. I will be sure to share this with her.

Hi there! I just finished this highly reflective, archival quality, mixed media, fine art piece, featuring a Great Horned Owl. It is on an archival panel that is 6“ x 8”.

First photo shows an example of what the piece would look like, hanging on a wall.

Second photo was taken outside in natural life, to give you an idea of the colors and how reflective it is.

Third photo shows the reverse side, so you can see the hanging method - nothing special needed to display this piece.

Fourth photo shows a close-up, so you can get a sense of the underlying textures and depth.

Fifth photo taken under special lighting to show you the surface texture of the piece. This is not how it usually looks when hanging on the wall.
