You've inspired me to try something new, as well, although I don't have the tools, or inks, to make it as fancy as yours!
You always put so much time and effort into your cards. They look amazing. Thanks for inspiring me to try some new ideas :)
Very pretty

Project - Last-Minute Gift Idea by prospurring posted 09/29/12 at 09:13 PM Galleries: Stamping, Cardmaking Made this last-minute gift the other night. It is a “fancy” chocolate bar … the Godiva / Lindt / Ghiradelli type. Around that I wrapped textured gold cardstock to make a “sleeve.” For the focal image, I used 90# cold-pressed watercolor paper and colors and tools already on my desk from when I made my Upcycled Autumn Goodie Jar and Matching Card: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/379335-prospurring/1859664-upcycled-autumn-goodie-jar-matching-card/ [twopeasinabucket.com] I used Tsukineko sponge daubers to apply Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks. Then I stamped music and flowers using Tea Dye, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge. The sentiment is stamped using Faded Jeans. The butterfly was added with foam squares for dimensions. Took me longer to write this up than to actually make the piece, which I adhered to the sleeve. Thanks for looking! :-) |
