Project - Halloween: Holy Costume Batman by NancyDamiano posted 10/08/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking I had a collection of photos of my son in one of his favorite Halloween costumes. I knew that I wanted to document the story of his fake Batman muscles and that mask that he loved. The photos are pretty colorless - just shades of black and grey. To make them pop on the page, I used a bold color palette of teal and orange. While it's not a traditional Halloween palette, it highlights the costume and has just enough of a hint of Halloween to make it work. I divided the page into four sections for a linear look. Then added layers with stickers, chipboard and tabs. I placed the bat sticker on a toothpick and added some pop dots to the back for dimension. The stitching around the circle makes it really stand out, while the flags at the top draw the eye to the sticker. I added black alpha stickers to the black oval sticker to add the date in an understated, texture way. Finally, the focal point photo is 4x6 and was matted on a printed tab. TFL! |
