Last summer we had the opportunity to travel to Puerto Rico with the kids and their cousins. It was a wonderful experience and the kids really enjoyed seeing the places where their dad grew up. It was educational and fun. I loved being able to share with them the little pieces that made up their dads' childhood so this picture in front of "El Morro" (probably the most important and popular landmark on the Island) was especially poignant. :)<p>

I had several shots of the same pose and as is the case often with many small children...none of them was perfect So instead of choosing just one, I used them all. The border was made by cropping pieces of one of the borders in the "Oodles of Doodles" kit. The font was actually transparent and I used a "Wet Media" brush (standard in Photoshop) to color behind the letters. Because this picture was of the kids, I wanted it to look fun, happy and colorful. I hope I succeeded. :)<p>
