Project - baby pics in decoupaged frames by gale w posted 07/27/05 at 04:49 PM Galleries: Scrapbooking I see all these cute baby closeups in magazines and online. Well I am not a good photographer and was even worse when my kids were babies. Same with my family I guess. None of us got many good pics of the kids and certainly not any closeups. So I took what I had and scanned it at a high resolution. Then I cropped in close, converted it to b&w (using curves and Tara W's instructions). Then I reduced the noise, sharpened them a bit, and printed them on textured bazzill to hide some of the imperfections. I got these frames on clearance at Target and decoupaged the front with patchwork paper pp and used MM rubons (heidi in white) to put their names on the frames. You can really tell that my oldest dd (in the purple frame) was a baby when I had a really crappy camera and no zoom. btw she was wearing a white bonnet which is why it looks so white above her face. |
