Lots of back 2 school action happening here :)

Where does the time go?! They grow up too fast. Boo :( But combining photos from two different years' first day of school on a layout can be a good way to compare how they have grown, and also a great opportunity to write a little note to your kiddo.

The title and apple were cut with the Cameo. Both negative and positive apple shapes were used on the same project–double duty! Those apples were popped up with foam dots to give more dimension. The “back 2 school” title was cut out of a page from the Basic Grey Clippings Snippets book.

That arrow stamp. Sigh. Love arrows and lately I've been loving to stamp. This particular arrow is connected to another one in the Two Peas exclusive Studio Calico set. I just snipped them apart because I wanted to use only one. You can always line them back up to use them how they came originally.

The Basic Grey alpha sticker sheet–so versatile! Love that it comes with 3 different sized fonts and variety of colors. Worked great for the traditional “a,b,c” across the top and then the smaller alpha stitched words on the photos.

So I wanted to let you in on a little something I discovered while making this: The inserts of the October Afternoon here & now mini albums fit *perfectly* into these large envelopes! If you are like me and sometimes get going on a layout and forget a place to journal, this is a great solution. I actually sewed down part of the title tag so the whole page insert wouldn't fit. No worries! I just cut down some of the side of the insert and it slid in just fine. The tid bit tab helps to pull it out. This is also great if you have journaling you want to keep more private.

That road washi–totally made me think of moving on. Since this was about my son's first day of school photo from last year and this year, I thought the washi tape fit the theme. I always sew my tape down. It's a habit :)

I like embellishments, and clusters. That's probably obvious! Some veneer stars are left and others are sprayed with Sprinkler. LOVE the woodland park set, especially since I love blues and greens and am a boy momma ;) And those MME enamel dots? Don't get me started. I'm going to have to watch it or I'll hoard those things!

Thank you SO much for looking! Excited to be here as a Garden Girl!
