Project - gratitude theme: hello blessings
What a perfect time of year to record some heartfelt blessings, something I need to do more often.
I had been saving this subtle orange stripe background paper from American Crafts and thought it was perfect for this. I knew about where I wanted to place my photos so I cut 3 different arrows to point to the pictures and sewed around them. Then it was just a matter of backing the arrow cuts and embellishing!
I like inking wood veneer shapes, but I love the natural look. This set from Studio Calico is great because it has numbers as well as other shapes. I layered the numbers over a piece of washi folded over the photos and sewed them down.
The layering on the bottom just sort of happened :) It stated with the “hello” tag from the Dear Lizzy set. I used a piece of burlap to make a loop on the tag and folded it underneath to back the “hello”. Burlap always reminds me of fall so it was a good fit. Mini market stickers in orange & cream from October Afternoon helped to complete the title.
I sprinkled a few embellishments here and there..Dear Lizzy brads and chipboard from Crate Paper. I loved that mini squirrel and thought he looked at home on the Amy Tangerine paper leaves.
I think I might want to start doing a “thankful” type layout each fall season. It would be fun to look back and compare them over the years.
Thanks for looking!
