Hooray for Fall! I don't know about you, but fall is THE season in my book. I pretty much love everything about it. Except maybe allergies. But everything else is the best!

When I was thinking about this theme I started writing down some words that meant “fall” to me. The word in the printable “cozy” kinda stuck and made me think about layering. I love fall attire and the layering that comes with it so I decided to make my background layered papers. All of them are neutral enough and came from the Capture line by Basic Grey. I freehand cut some leaf shapes and laid them down as a sort of mask for the lower portion of my layout. A few of those misted leaves then became embellishments.

A section of my title was cut from my cameo and then backed with patterned paper. A few Basic Grey mini alphas help round out the title with some sewing. The words I had thought of previously became my journaling. I typed them randomly on kraft paper, hand cut them out and then haphazardly sewed them down.

I had been waiting to get my mitts on those Crate Paper frames for awhile now so when they finally came I had to use them. They are perfect for grouping together and then filling with photos, journaling, and embellishments. The photo is our first pumpkin of the year. We usually have several by the time Halloween rolls around, but this guy is the first. I used the woodgrain back of a Glitz Design card to add some yellow/orange stitching, kinda plaid like, to be the background for a very layered leaf. One of the frames gets the “cozy” printable and another gets a star punch filled with the corn that means “halloween is coming”–candy corn!

Throughout the layout are splashes of orange and a few bits of teal. I love those two colors together. There are a few vintage items, similar to what is in the grab bag here at Two Peas. I love adding that bit of vintage.

This layout came together from non fall themed product. In fact, minus the few chipboard stars and two transparent leaves, nothing comes from a halloween or autumn themed collection! I think it goes to show that you can pull current pattern/colors you might have and add a few new bits here and there of a themed collection to get the idea across that..hey, you love fall!

Thanks for looking!
