Project - HYBRID-Tissue Wrapped Candle by slcspagirl posted 02/15/13 at 11:23 PM Galleries: Altered Projects, Home Decor First I measured the surface area to cover around the glass of this grocery/dollar store candle. It's the kind you'll find used for religious purposes-they come in lots of colors, but I chose white. Next, I created my image in Photoshop complete with layers, shadows, and stitching. I taped a white piece of tissue paper trimmed to a letter sized printer paper, then printed on BEST quality. Allow to dry, then cut the tissue to size. I adhered the tissue to my glass candle with double sided tape. For the trimming, I found some silver looped ribbon I had been saving for a rainy day and glued that to the glass atop the tissue in 2 tiers. I glued a sequin string over the top of the silver trim. Lastly, I painted a heart chipboard with several shades of shimmer paint, punched a hole in one corner and attached it with a piece of twine. It was a fun project to make! **Digital Credits: Robyn Meierotto-Love Story Kit |
