This layout is for Laurie's January Challenge, to use a photo from the past year that you didn't get the chance to use on a layout. It's also for a Two Peas Challenge by Shannon Tidwell called Printed Paper every which way.. this month was to cut up patterned paper and use it as embellishments.. it's a free class, check it out!!
These are the most important women in my family, My Mom, My Sis and My Grandma, oh and me! lol. This was taken last year on Mother's Day. My niece was supposed to be in it too, but she was being a crabby pants =]
Yes, I cut it all out by hand, lol. I believe the word you're looking for is: “Crazy” =] I used crackled accents on the eyelets and on all the flowers (there's close ups on my blog). I threaded twine through the eyelets and used a journaling stamp. After I took the picture I added two little pearls on the first dots before and after “Family”.
I didn't want the journaling to be mushy, since I'm not that great at “regular” journaling yet. I found this quote on a daily calender I had years ago that I saved, just for layouts!
Journaling reads: Family - Every generation finds out from the next that the way they brought up their kids was all together wrong! Mother's Day 2009
Printed Paper is Wild Asparagus
Family Alphabet - American Crafts “Rue”
Eyelets - Making Memories
