Today, I made a mixed-media mini-album with the kids' drawings! First, we had a lesson on diversity in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and then I asked them to draw pictures to express themselves. If you'd like to see their drawings you can go to my blog: http://iheartartblog.com/2013/01/21/kid-art-celebrating-diversity/ [iheartartblog.com]

For the cover, I used Lawn Fawn's Upbeat paper over Grungeboard. Then, I melted down some Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Papercrafter Crayons to create the foreground and the sky. Afterward, I added a layer of gelatos and blended with a waterbrush. To finish it off, I doodled clouds with the Stamper's Artist Pen in white!

I love how in mixed-media every medium “plays nice” :)
