Galleries: Scrapbooking

This is a separate layout from my dog's scrapbook album. I've never put a layout in a scrapbook frame to put on the wall so I thought I would do one. This is my dog at home. Always snoozin'. The description is under the supplies list.

I used a sketch from #45 to make this layout.

I started by cutting out 2 Lacy Square Spellbinder die cuts using Mauve Cardstock, and attached the photo’s of my dog Dolly.

The wide pink patterned paper in the center of the layout was cut with a Fiskars Border Punch- Scallops- around all the edges.

I added some fake flowers. I didn’t want to spend $6 on wire cutters so I found one at The Dollar Tree. The flowers also come off their stems by pulling them. But you need the wire cutters to cut off the stem that connects to the base of the flower. It's usually an inch long or so. The flower won't be able to lay flat with it still attached. I buy the flowers at Hobby Lobby. They have hundreds of choices and they're always on sale.

First, I painted the letters “BABY” and “At Home” white with Acrylic paint. The BABY word is a wooden word and the “At Home” are individual chipboard letters. Then, I put the Cranberry ink pad face down on them. After they were dry I added some pink ink on each to lighten them up. The Cranberry ink pad was a little to dark for the layout. I also added gem flourishes around the letters/word.

Now I just have to find a frame for it. My blog posting can be found here: []
