Project - 50-Miler - Multi-Photo Challenge

Sure hope I made the deadline for this challenge. I've been working on this layout for a couple days!
I used two different sketches from Let's Scrap (9-14-11) for the placement of my photos and (6-24-09) for the page layout. Since I couldn't decide on only one sketch I incorporated two of them!
The title is from a photo of the actual Boy Scout Patch, printed on cardstock. I didn't like the original color of the sun die cut, so I traced it onto two different papers and layered them.
Paper: DCWV, White Textured Cardstock: Colorbok
Leaves: Sizzix Leaf Die
Self-Adhesive Metal Piece: Colorbok
Sun: Traced & Hand Cut on different papers and layered
Sharpie Marker (for journaling)
In our area, one of the greatest places to canoe is called the Allagash Waterway. Our Boy Scout Troop wanted to canoe the Allagash and planned the trip for seven days and 6 nights. They had a goal: to get their 50-Miler Scout Patch (and they did)! On most days we canoed up to 12 miles, camping at various campsites, laughing and having a great time. My hands didn't fare so well, as I have a very bad habit of turning the paddles around in my hands continually, which caused blisters all over my hands. Each morning I bandaged them up and continued on. We encountered windy waters (which could be very dangerous on the Waterways), heavy rains (which curbed our route a couple of times) and lots of sunshine too! It was the best experience ever!
Thanks for the FUN Challenge!
