I love the title. A fun way to avoid saying Back to School 13 years in a row! : )
Love the banner at the bottom- such a neat way to use lots of goodies!
Project - Fall: Back to the Books with Lisa Dickinson
Back-to-school photos are some of my most favorite shots to scrap. Maybe it's because they work well with so many products - from alphabets to numbers to office-supply inspired lines, school photos can be paired with so much beyond your typical apple/pencil/book theme.
For this page, I began with a Fancy Pants patterned paper that looks like cork and reminds me of a school bulletin board. I created a title block the same size as my photos using the notebook paper card from this month's Hello Forever printables, Echo Park alpha stickers, and a die cut word.
Below my photos and title, I had so much fun creating an embellishment banner. After printing my journaling on a curve directly onto the patterned paper, I added a long piece of red twine that my embellishments would “hang” from. I mixed in lots of pennants, stickers, metal flair, wood veneer pieces, shaped paper clips, and vintage tickets to create a colorful and textural banner.
So don't be afraid to include unexpected themes and shapes in your back-to-school scrapping. Feathers, stars, arrows, speech bubbles and pennants all can work on a school-themed page!
