I am really digging your "currents" layouts! I want to do one! Love these circles. I'm not brave enough to do a page full of circles but I love seeing this! :)
Lisa this is stunning! Love those circles and how you've incorporated the journaling and printables. Fabulous lo!
This is really cool!
I really love this…the idea is so simple and yet most of us won't have thought of it. The execution is great! Think I may have to scrap lift this with my 15 year old DD. Thanks Lisa!!!
Project - MOMENTS: Currents with Lisa Dickinson
As my son enters the teen years, he's becoming resistant to being photographed, and even less willing to sit down and chat extensively. So I'm having to be creative in my approach toward capturing moments for his scrapbooks.
One morning while he was waiting for the school bus to arrive, I asked him to answer a series of “currents” prompts about various things in his life right now. It took all of 5 minutes to get the list completed (with no grumbling - from him or me!) and just like that, I had the makings of a scrapbook page.
I was inspired by the various blues and greens on this month's mood board and used those hues to help me select my products. I pulled out everything from royal blue to teal to kelly green and together they helped create a cool, masculine vibe.
I cut all my papers and photos into various sized circles and used lots of circular embellishments as well. When I'm using all the same shape in a design, I like to pop up some of the layers with foam adhesive and incorporate a few thicker items like flair and brads. This adds dimensions and helps separate the elements, so they don't all blend together.
My chipboard title ended up hanging out a bit on the left and it looked slightly off balance, so I added a shaped clip (held in place with a brad) that helps tie it to the circles and draw the eye into the design.
