Actually, you may be able to see the picture rail and hooks in the picture, just above the blue of the board. The rail is pale, with large brass hooks over the top of it.
Hi Paintscrap. I mounted the Bygel rails on to a sheet of wood (what in the UK is called MDF) ising short nuts and bolts. I attached it to the wall by using the fittings you would use on the back of a large picture or mirror to then attach picture wire. I did not actually need to attach the picture wire as our house has picture rails (which may be a UK thing, but they are rails that are attached to walls about 18 inches down from the ceiling from which you can then hang pictures, using specific picture rail hooks). But you could use any wall fitment that will take the weight and is appropriate to your wall.
How is this mounted and on what? I have seen this idea with the Ikea bars but don't quite know how to accomplish it.
