This is a disagreement my husband and I have had for years: who's job is it to do the chores? And which chore is whose? This cute "man" stamp from Scenic Route is the perfect embellishment for a non-photo layout. I don't really have many chores of Brett or I doing chores. I mean I really don't look all that hot folding laundry nor does he out sweating in the yard. So I decided to just let the photos go and concentrate on the journaling/theme of this layout.
To create the man stamped background, I used fuchsia, yellow, blue, and purple ink to stamp a background of men. Then I used embossing ink and a Versmark pad to make a man out of each color. I cut out these men and adhered them to my layout with pop dots. I added stamped tags that each contain a chore; along with a button tied with yellow floss. (I also added a crown to one of the men because my husband is king of the castle after all.)
I love the Silhouette for cutting titles. I can choose any TrueType font and then resize it to fit my project. I ran the letters through a corrugator. (Remember those?) And then I inked the edges with a brown stamp pad.
The rest of the title is a bunch of different letter stickers.
