Project - You Make Me Smile by JenGallacher posted 09/27/10 Galleries: Scrapbooking Ahh. I can feel it . . . the cool drop in temperature that signals fall is just around the corner. And seeing photos like this make me excited for it! To make this layout I stamped the floral flourish in the upper left and lower right corners of my layout with Versamark ink. Then I stamped a library card stamp on kraft cardstock. I stamped a text stamp on white cardstock and rubbed the edges with brown stamping ink. I used the Imaginisce leaves stamps on orange and green cardstock and then cut them out. The branches are handcut. I layered two vellum butterflies on top of each other and added a button. I added a scallop cut border on my bottom green border for some textural interest. I eliminated the word "summer" from the word brush. Then I typed in "fall" instead. Then I added a branch brush to the background and changed the opacity so it was almost clear. I love combining stamping with digital and traditional elements--that's very me! :) |
