I am so glad that you linked this one to my challenge for Photo cards. It is a great example of what can be done with photos and of course it counts in my challenge. TFS
How'd I miss this one? I thought I had left a comment on it. I love the brown wax paper resist as a background to this photo. I love the other piecesyou made too. TFS. Daria
So pretty! I love the layout.
Simply beautiful! Love the subdued color on the resist, it really works well with your card. Sorry you had trouble with this at first. I love that you included the extra papers you made for us to see. You got some great results! Thanks for taking my challenge:)
Oh, this looks so elegant! The photo is perfect, and the colours compliment it well. Great job! TFS
Hi there! Love this card! What a stunning photo! I bet this card becomes a treasured keepsake! Sooooo good! Just peeking at your backgrounds, I kinda like the smoky look of the second from the left. It might go nicely with a "Steampunk" kind of look... :-)
Project - SOF'12 Wax paper resist

The main requirement of the challenge was to make a pattern on paper (or card stock) using a wax resist technique then use that paper in a project.
I did struggle a bit with the wax resist but finally made the sheets shown in picture 2, using three different embossing folders.
The card uses one of these sheets (made with a Tim Holtz clock pattern folder) as a background layer. I added a couple of stamped and cut out hearts, a stamped sentiment and a pice of hemp string to finish the card.
