I love that tree stamp!! Such a cute card! I really like how this turned out! The fiber is perfect! And I am loving how you made the effect with the tree---very smart! Love it!
Great job and TFS!
I love your wonderful card! Great use of fibers!
This is awesome! What a wonderful use of fibers!
I've been looking at that stamp for about seven months and picking it up , then putting it down again, partly because it is a big and expensive stamp and partly because it is made by Hero Arts. I kind of got in the habit of avoiding their stamps a couple of years ago, when I was making more cards to sell, because of what seemed to me to be a convoluted and very restrictive 'angel' policy.
Last week however I was at Michaels with a 40% off coupon and finally succumbed and picked it up and I"m glad I did.
This looks wonderful. I am starting to want that tree after seeing your cards!
This is a fantastic card! Love love love all the stamped images. So pretty. I like the way you added some twigs to his mouth, very cute! TFS :)

Galleries: Stamping, Cardmaking
When I read about the fiber challenge, for some reason, I didn't think about fabric or wool , I thought of the birds I see in spring, building their nests with small twigs and pieces of straw or string so I decided to go that route for this card.
The background is made with a Hero Arts large background stamp of trees, stamped in white, on kraft paper, and embossed with clear powder. I went back with a grey Copic marker to darken some of the breaks in the tree, to give the impression of white birches with the black patches in their bark.
The bottom panel is a piece of grass cloth, the kind used for covering walls or sometimes for the covers of decorative books. I bent and twisted the top half inch or so to make it stand out and give it a more ‘wild’ look.
The bird is from a set of clear bird stamps by Martha Stewart, coloured with Copics.
I cut a slit in the birds beak and pulled a few strands of twine through.
The little bird house is from an inexpensive Recollections stamp.
