Project - My Studio

I took over our dining room as my scrap “studio” several years ago. We have a table in our kitchen and also only use our dining room table at Easter and Christmas.
Photo #1 - We have a bi-level house. This is the view looking from the living room which is at the front of the house. There is a large picture window in the living room and 2 windows in the dining room so there is plenty of light. The table has a leaf in it as we are having another Christmas dinner today but when the leaf is removed it is 20 inches smaller.
Photo #2 - Since we have a lot of wood furniture and black accents in the lr/dr, I bought black Iris cabinets from Target with a faux wood grain top.
Photo #3 - This is the view from the doorway that leads into the kitchen. I had the bookshelf made specifically to hold my albums but it is also a great place to hold my Cricut, idea books and my laptop. It does look a bit crowded next to the china cupboard but that's ok. It's what I needed.
Photo #4 - Some extra storage for small items. The black box on the right has 4 drawers. The box on the left is actually a CD holder but I use it for brads and bling.
When I have a layout in progress, the table does look messy and the lr/dr are the first rooms you see when you enter our house, but that's ok with me. Most people who visit know I scrap so they understand.
