Might be 'fun' to use velcro dots on the tags & canvas. That way you could pull off tags to check various color combinations, then return the tags to the canvas for safe keeping.

What a terrific idea! I like the way you crushed the tags a bit because the ink shows up a bit darker where the wrinkles are, and they look truly distressed.
You might want to hang it away from sunlight so the colors don't fade too quickly. Someone pointed that out to me when I made an ink sampler years ago. My tags were on a ring, and I was going to keep it on the table right in front of a window. I was glad when I got that warning.

After reading all the posts about having samples of inks and stamps, I decided to make a sampler of my Distress Inks so I could see what color looks good with my papers. I love how it turned out!
