Love these! Great interpretation of the sketch, great color combos and stamps. TFS :)
Beautiful Heidi! Love the embossed bird on vellum. Stunning!
What a beautiful card! Love how you stamped the bird over everything!
I really like your ideas used for the sketch! I like the corner matching doily to represent the corner triangle on Christin's sketch! I like the vellum over the doilies.
I like how you rotated the sketch for the last card.
Pretty cards and clever thinking! Good job and TFS!
Heidi, Really nice Valentines. Love the doily under vellum it softens it so. And I too love the red, white, & black of the other card. Nicely done!
Thank you!

Project - Card Sketch #1 - Two Valentines by howdyheidi posted 01/18/13 at 09:11 AM Galleries: Stamping, Cardmaking This is for Christin's Card Sketch #1 Challenge in the stamping forum. The first card: Stamped Bird stamp (Kaisercraft Bonjour) with Versafine ink on pink vellum. Heat embossed with clear powder. Stamped three doilies (no name dollar stamp) on white cardstock. Then layered vellum over the cardstock. I adhered behind the bird image with mini glue dots and folded the edge of the vellum over the back of the cardstock and adhered to try to get the vellum as tightly adhered as possible. Patterned paper (Echo Park Victorian Garden)including punched doily in lower left corner. Sentiment (Hero Arts Celebrate Everyday) Card 2: Stamped hearts and sentiment (Hero Arts All-Year Round Sentiments) with Versafine Ink on red cardstock. Trimmed out squares and matted in black. Silver paper and “love” background paper are from an old Valentine Scrap pack from ACM. I punched some hearts (Martha Stewart punch) out of the silver paper and applied them here and there. Border punch is EK Success. |
