Project - Let's Walk Together

This layout was pretty challenging for me because I'd never really before in my scrapbooking actually set aside a specific spot for journaling. Since I did in this layout, my word flowed more smoothly because I didn't have a tiny, cramped, small space to put my journaling like I had in other layouts in the past. This time in my journaling, I thought about what I actually wanted to put in there. I knew that I wanted to include a list of these things:
How surprised I was because I didn't know there would be a canal running straight through the city
How normal it seemed to the everyday people
The sights, the smells
The Mexican influence
I used lots of sentences that flowed right into the next subject so it would all be coherent. I don't usually say, for example, We were in the mall, it was fun. I would add a bunch of things that I liked a about the mall and why it was fun. And so that's my process about journaling.
For the products I used, all the paper (the punched border, the gingham for the journaling), was made by Ki Memories. The punch I used was the Fiskars threading water border punch. The rest of the elements on this layout was just some washi tape that I got from Michael's. (Recollections brand) The tag where I put the year on was from Target. I used a Sakura white gel pen to write on that. For my title, the sparkly blue letter stickers were from Michael's. (Again, Recollections brand) The white foam was from Sticko. (by EKsuccess) And then the clear and black letters were from Michael's. (Recollections) Lastly, for my journaling, I used a Sharpie Pen.
So yeah. It was a pretty simple layout. But I love it! Also, there are pink sticky notes to cover up the faces… It's not part of the design! :)
