Happy Holidays!

Two Peas invited me to participate as a Guest Designer for the 20 Days of Holiday Sharing and I'm so excited to share these fun tags with you today.

For Christmas this year Santa asked me to help him create some special tags to attach to the presents he brings to our house.

I decided to run with the theme “Love, Santa” and incorporate a large heart punch from Marvy into the mix. Any size heart punch would work great here.

The main technique I played with was using the punched heart and letter stickers as “masks” and then applying spray ink or embossing ink/powder on top.

As an extra layer of goodness I also added some Stickles on top of a couple of the hearts (simple to stay in the right area by using the piece of paper I'd punched the heart from).

For the backs of two of the tags I used fabric - on the other two I used pattern paper. I adhered first and then went around the edge with my sewing machine. It was a little tough to work the machine through the embossed area (one whole tag is completely embossed), but it worked.

With the thought that maybe these can be used for more than one year in the future, I didn't put a “to” or “from” on the tag itself but instead added a little metal rimmed circle tag.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
