Galleries: Altered Projects

This is an altered wooden box that I made for a friend that's into witches. I had the box in my stash and saw the paper with the potions bottles on it and my mind just clicked. I fussy cut the bottles from the paper, cutting the tops off, so that the bottles are complete when the box is open. The top are rub-on swirls, puffy paint, ghosts are decorative buttons and spider with web are bling. I also fussy cut the frog from the paper and glued him to the inside, trying to get out of the caldron. The bubbles are bubble wrap painted lime green, the fire is packing material, the handle is attached with framing hooks and the handle is a paperclip with beads and a closing clasp from a ball chain necklace. On the shelves, I made the spell book cover from a part of a floppy disk (inking it) and distressed paper with inks, the wand is a painted twig, mini bottles with glitter are from my dollar store, the broom is made with straw ribbon and a stick, the spider with web are decorative buttons and I hung the spider from a clear string.

I hope you enjoy it.
