I made this as a keepsake from our vacation at the beach last year. I brought the jar with me and on our last day I scooped up some sand and water. After I got home I used two of my favorite photos and some beach slides looped onto twine and ribbon. It's one of my favorite projects ever. So far there has been no build-up of algae or anything inside.
