I remember that kitchen stool, too, and climbing up the steps to sit on it when I was wee little. Love your room. It's gorgeous. TFS!

WOW ! What a fantastic room. I really like that you have that big window for light! Funny,....we had your "retro" stool in our kitchen , only red 48 years ago and also that white kitchen cart! We used them all the time! You did such a wonderful job getting great deals and co-ordinating and organizing it all! LOVELY !!

Love your room! I am a fan of spray paint too... I painted everything in my room white!! amazing how a yard sale find can look brand new with alittle paint! thanks for sharing

Your room is beautiful! I love how you have everything in sight so you can use it easily! Your room is an inspiration to me. You have everything easily accessible, and special places for the things you love. I love the boots from your son, you must be a very proud momma! :) Thank you for sharing!

We've been in our new house for a little over a year now - finally getting around to posting some new pics of “my” room.
1: view from the door. My table is counter height. I like to have a choice of either sitting or standing.
2: sideboard that goes with my table. It's great for storing paper, and the two drawers are added storage. On top are miscellaneous milk glass items that I've picked up at antique stores. The lamp I actually got at a garage sale for $2.00!!!! I was so excited!!!
3: I picked up this little goodie at a garage sale for $5.00!!! The price on it was $50.00, and I asked if that was correct - hoping it wasn't. :-) At first I wasn't sure what I would put on it, but it's a great storage for my rubons - in plain view so I can use them.
4: vintage kitchen cart that I got on Ebay. Love it!!! On it sits one of my two Clip-It-Ups. I was on the fence with the Clip-it-Up at first, but now, I love both of them. I'm a visual person, so as long as I can see what I have, it will get used.
5: Ikea Expedit shelving holds my albums and other miscellaneous items. My second Clip-it-Up is on a smaller shelf unit. And the little goodie in between the shelf and the window is something else I picked up at a garage sale!! $2.00!!! It's great for my Target $1.00 tins.
6: bookcase with miscellaneous items on it. I got the old gum stand on Ebay - perfect for my punches. Again, keeps them in sight, so I will use them.
7: Making Memories shelf unit that I painted black (not sure why they don't make a black model), with some of my flowers and ribbon and other stuff
8: top of my table…yeah, I know…it's a mess….the 7-Up crate I got on Ebay, and it holds miscellaneous pieces from monthly kits and other items that I want to keep in sight. I just picked up the silver tray at a garage sale last weekend - not sure what I'm going to put on it, but I had to have it.
9: my “retro” Cosco chair that my husband bought me for our anniversary from Target!! I wanted a real retro one, but couldn't find one anywhere - still love this one
10: drawer unit with different stuff; TV on top; and the boots and cover my son wore during his deployment in Iraq (hoo-rah!!!)
11: Laduree box from Paris - the BEST macaroons in the world!!! Also a thimble I purchased from Versailles (my grandmother loved thimbles). And my lifesaver in Paris - the map I used to navigate the streets!!
12: last is a shelf unit I bought at (you guessed it) a garage sale for $1.00!!! Can you believe it?!!? Just random stuff on this - including all those mini and chipboard albums I keep saying I'm going to make.

Anyway….that's my room….thanks for looking!!!!
