thanks Kim...I like to see the exif info too. I downloaded the opanda exif reader and there are lots of times I can get the data from photos posted online. it certainly helps with the learning experience.

Thanks for the information Cathy. If I recall, you and I were in the 12 wks to better photos together, or at least started around the same time. I still find this info helpful when viewing pics. (Not to many share this anymore for some reason)

I can see how great you are progressing. Keep up the good work. (Your grand-daughter is beautiful!)

this is the lens I used - Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro

I did do some post processing on these though. I did run them through noise ninja, maybe did a slight lighten on the first two and ran unsharp mask on just the eyes I think. I didn't really keep rack of exactly what I did to them. Sorry I can't offer more info. They were pretty good straight off the camera though for a change..lol!

and here's the exif data. I didn't use a tripod...all were hand held shots.

I think you did a great job with these shots. Exposure, catchlights...Great job!

Can you share your settings and lens you used?

They all look great to me - awesome catch lights!

Beautifully executed in all 3 areas!

I seldom post but wanted some input on the lighting+exposure+sharpness here. I'm pretty new (within the last 8 or 9 months)to dslr and was working on these areas. Next it'll be composition.

Oh, these were shot with natural light in my garage. Two with a black backdrop and the other is shot from below my granddaughter, so that's the ceiling of our garage you see…LOL!

thanks for looking…Cathy.
