Project - no photo page: my story... by Wendy Sue posted 06/11/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking As soon as I saw this 9 to 5 collection by October Afternoon, I knew I needed it and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it first. I wanted to tell my story. The story of a little girl who was obsessed with office supplies, and learning how to type, and playing office, and dreaming of becoming a secretary. :) I probably could have dug up some old photos to use on this layout…but I think a huge part of scrapbooking is journaling or story-telling…and you don't always need a photo to do that, so I opted to make this layout photoless. I had fun with the different elements of the collection and made my layout interactive, with a vellum overlay over the journaling - just for interest and texture, and to allow even more space for the fun embellishments I wanted to include. Have you recorded any of your childhood stories? Or created a page about what you wanted to be when you “grew up?” If not, I definitely think you should - I am glad I did! |
