Project - Big Snow by debikins posted 01/19/12 at 03:14 AM Galleries: Scrapbooking Text reads: January 14, 2012, they predicted snow, lots of snow, in fact a normal year's worth of snow in one day to hit Seattle and the surrounding area. On Saturday, while visiting Mom in Lake Stevens, the snow began. It was still snowing when I left Sunday. But when I got home to Seattle, there was but a frosting. The kids were off for Martin Luther King Jr's birthday on Monday and by Tuesday morning the rain had washed away all traces of snow at home. But the schools were delayed 2 hours and ended up dismissing 2 hours early as well. A snow day with no snow. Tuesday night still no snow but Wednesday we woke to having the yard covered in a couple inches, by the afternoon a few more…4-5 inches accumulated in Seattle, but Mom, she had well over a foot. No school Wednesday nor Thursday. The roads are nasty. Seattle has too many hills. Rain is predicted… wonder what Friday will bring.
